Chinese brown sauce * 3 parts soy sauce * 2 parts Chinese cooking wine / rice wine vinegar * 2 parts hoisin (optional) * 1 part honey * 1 part sesame oil * 4-6 parts chicken stock / vegetable stock * 1 part corn starch * 1 part gochujang or chili oil (optional) * Chopped garlic and ginger (optional) All ingredients are variable, use to taste! Heat in pan for about a minute to thicken, then add cooked ingredients back to pan! Easy stir fry: * Fry sliced and pressed tofu or seitan in oil and garlic, remove from pan. * Fry any other veggies you want (pepper, onion, carrot, etc) in same pan and remove. * Blanche broccoli in boiling water for about a minute. * Cook sauce in pan, return ingredients to pan, and voila!
