Katherine Hepburn's Brownies

Temp:325 degrees

Ingredients:

• 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
• 1/4 pound butter
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1 cup walnuts, chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon

Directions:

• Melt chocolate with butter in heavy saucepan over very low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
• Beat in eggs and vanilla. Quickly stir in flour, walnuts and salt.
• Spread batter in a well-greased 8×8 inch baking pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
• Remove immediately to a rack to cool. Cut into 12 squares.
