Chinese brown sauce
3 parts soy sauce
2 parts Chinese cooking wine / rice wine vinegar
2 parts hoisin (optional)
1 part honey
1 part sesame oil
4-6 parts chicken stock / vegetable stock
1 part corn starch
1 part gochujang or chili oil (optional)
Chopped garlic and ginger (optional)
All ingredients are variable, use to taste!
Heat in pan for about a minute to thicken, then add cooked ingredients back to pan!
Easy stir fry:
Fry sliced and pressed tofu or seitan in oil and garlic, remove from pan.
Fry any other veggies you want (pepper, onion, carrot, etc) in same pan and remove.
Blanche broccoli in boiling water for about a minute.
Cook sauce in pan, return ingredients to pan, and voila!
